Among the pages of this website you will find what books the Leadership in Medicine students, as well as other professors and students from outside of Union, would recommend to their fellow classmates.
The LIM Book Review Site is shared amongst the current and future generations of LIM students and professors. In an to effort to encourage communal edification and personal intellectual growth, the site acts as an entryway into a world of new novels that span a myriad of genres. The LIM Book Review Site will continue to be passed down to new students as others move on and graduate from Union College and Albany Medical College.
If you would like to recommend a book or any other medically related text or media (blogs, online journals, magazines), please use the tab in the upper right hand corner or click here!
Happy reading!
History of LIM Book Review Club
The Leadership in Medicine (LIM) Program is an 8-year BS/MBA/MD combined degree program between Union College in Schenectady, New York and Albany Medical College in Albany, New York.
The LIM Book Review Club is currently run by Rose Parisi '20/24, a Leadership in Medicine student. The site was originally created by Cara Zimmerman '14/18, a LIM student, during her education at Union. After reading The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot, Cara recommended the book to Professor Carol Weisse, the Director of Health Professions at Union College, and was inspired by Professor Weisse to create a LIM Book Review Site.
